Why it fits: Small Prophets makes the supernatural feel at home in an ordinary setting, with gentle oddball humor and a quiet mystery beneath it. The Boroughs also lets eerie events creep into a familiar community, where unlikely neighbors must work together to stop something from stealing their time; its danger is darker and more urgent.

Why it fits: Small Prophets and Shrinking both let gentle comedy sit beside grief, with odd jokes and honest conversations making room for real hurt. Michael’s hope of seeing Clea again gives the supernatural shed scenes a quiet ache, while a widowed therapist’s blunt advice brings messy fallout to his clients and friends.
Why it fits
Small Prophets makes an eccentric man's hope of finding his missing partner the heart of its gentle comedy; Sold Out on You also lets personal longing complicate an offbeat plan. Its romantic friction comes from a workaholic host's sales targets colliding with an unpredictable farmer, making it sweeter and more grounded than supernatural mystery.
Why it fits
Small Prophets turns supernatural oddity into gentle comedy with an ache beneath it; Eternally Yours finds humor in a vampire couple's stale marriage and their daughter's human boyfriend. Expect more family and relationship sitcom chaos than missing-person mystery, with the central question shifting to whether love can last forever.
Why it fits
Small Prophets brings supernatural comedy into everyday life, and Ghosts makes that domestic oddness a cozy household farce. A young couple's inherited mansion is already crowded with nine ghosts, so expect more bickering housemates and ensemble chaos, and less focus on one man's hope of finding his missing partner.
