A serpent deity who calls herself a god of misfortune turns out to be socially awkward, a little lonely, and genuinely easy to talk to once the initial terror wears off. The horror framing is not a bait-and-switch; the restricted mountain forest is unsettling and the creature's appearance is genuinely frightening. The comedy comes from the gap between that real unease and how quickly the deity becomes dorky and endearing once conversation starts.
