What to Expect

PremiereLens read

The Doomies makes frantic cover-ups as much a part of the action as monster battles. Bobby and Romy are best friends in over their heads, trying to conceal supernatural chaos while terrifying creatures threaten their sleepy coastal town. The animated adventure keeps spooky imagery and silly comedy side by side, playing horror for laughs without making the monsters harmless.

Individual creature encounters feed into a larger mystery that develops across episodes, giving the mayhem a continuing thread. Bobby and Romy also have inner demons to confront, so fighting whatever appears next is only part of their problem. Their personal growth unfolds alongside the monster trouble, with the consequences of their mistake extending beyond the damage they are trying to hide.
