Taste-matched follow-ups
These picks stay near the dry crime comedy, bickering partners, and violent comic action feel, then widen out into a few deeper cuts. Every pick is a recent premiere or a returning season.
Closest matches first, then broader nearby picks.
Why this fits: The Fixers makes danger fun through mismatched partners, bruising action, and dry jokes, a mix The Apartment Job also brings to its crime caper. A broke former gang boss and an aspiring lawyer scheme around their Seoul apartment building, where nosy neighbors add comic friction and each con brings fresh trouble.
Why this fits: The Fixers keeps its action lively with odd-couple banter and danger close at hand, and Agent from Above brings that same mix to supernatural cases. Its spirit medium, cheerful student, and spirit-seeing detective trade lighter jokes between eerie encounters and demon fights, with a more fantastical, sometimes darker edge.
Why this fits: The Fixers turns underworld danger into brisk comedy, especially when clashing partners have to work together, and Deli Boys finds laughs in that uneasy mix too. Two bickering brothers stumble into their late father’s criminal business, where bumbling tough-guy schemes meet real threats; its family loyalty gives the mayhem a warmer center.
The Fixers turns a debt-burdened gangster’s troubles into dry crime comedy, and Tulsa King also lets an aging mobster’s predicament fuel the laughs. Its exiled New Yorker builds a crew in unfamiliar Tulsa, with a more relaxed pace and found-family warmth alongside turf disputes and sudden violence.
The Fixers balances underworld missions with bruising comic action, while Spider-Noir brings crime danger to a weary hero’s detective cases. Expect a darker, hardboiled mood, with clues and rooftop fights replacing the temple’s bickering partners and secret-society intrigue.
The Fixers gets comic mileage from clashing partners under violent pressure, and Ride or Die puts a friendship through a similarly dangerous action-comedy ordeal. Its two best friends flee a hidden enemy in a continuous chase, making the humor more personal and the story less about underworld missions.
