What to Expect

PremiereLens read

The Apartment Job turns a Seoul apartment complex into the setting for a brisk, twisty caper, with fast-moving cons, dark jokes, and clever payback. Nosy neighbors and co-workers keep the schemers tangled in a petty, gossip-filled community, giving the crime comedy a close-quarters bustle. The mood stays mischievous, with more thrills from deception than fear of violence.

A former gang boss and an aspiring lawyer make an awkward criminal partnership, their different experience and ambitions feeding the laughs while their motives test their ability to cooperate. Each scam exposes another layer of corruption, expanding the story beyond the building’s money and toward bigger crooks. That widening web gives the long heist a feel-good underdog direction without abandoning its sharp satirical streak.
