IT: Welcome to Derry(2025)

Set in Derry, Maine in 1962, this is slow-burn horror built on dread rather than shock. A child goes missing just as a new family arrives, and the town's response, who notices, who looks away, who stays quiet, becomes as unsettling as whatever is doing the taking. The period setting is not decorative; the social frictions of the early sixties are woven into the fabric of who is believed and who is expendable.

Family bonds carry the weight of the story's unease. A couple navigating a new town, neighbors whose friendliness curdles under pressure, classmates whose loyalties fracture: these relationships are where the horror actually lives. Something predatory is hiding inside ordinary community life, and the show takes its time letting that rot spread outward from the domestic into the wider town.
