What to Expect

PremiereLens read

School Spirits blends a clue-by-clue whodunit with the messy social life of high school, where friendships, crushes, and cliques share space with eerie hallways. One ongoing case gives the story its forward motion, with twists advancing the puzzle rather than a fresh mystery each episode. The supernatural atmosphere brings mild scares, while snappy banter keeps the drama from becoming relentlessly gloomy.

Maddie’s dead classmates have unfinished business of their own, and their growing bond gives the mystery a bittersweet counterweight. These ghostly friendships develop into a found family, with sharp humor alongside the sadness of students who never left school. Solving what happened to Maddie runs alongside the more personal work of adjusting to an afterlife among other teens.
