Set in 1970s Colombia, Eva Lasting unfolds almost entirely within the charged atmosphere of a single school, where one girl's arrival into an all-boys environment quietly destabilizes everything the students thought was fixed. The pacing is deliberate, letting adolescent longing and social friction do the work that plot twists might otherwise handle.

The romance stays understated throughout, built from glances and classroom tension rather than dramatic declarations.
