Grace keeps the case-of-the-week structure but leans into colder, more personal stakes than Elsbeth. A detective’s missing-wife obsession shapes every interview and clue, and the slow, methodical reveals bring the same satisfaction of watching an unconventional mind corner the truth, just darker and heavier.
