Closest matches first, then broader nearby picks.
Why this fits: The Ninth Jedi and Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord both bring brisk animated space action, with lightsaber fights and dangerous choices driving the adventure. The Ninth Jedi builds excitement as new allies learn to trust one another, while Maul’s darker story follows a ruthless crime boss using schemes and betrayals to rebuild his syndicate.
Why this fits: The Ninth Jedi and Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers both make team loyalty part of the fun, with young fighters growing into danger through bold, fast-moving battles. The Ninth Jedi builds its crew across a galactic journey; Samurai Troopers brings armored heroes together against supernatural enemies, with a more mythic, earnest feel.
Why this fits: The Ninth Jedi makes watching new allies become a team as exciting as its space battles, and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy finds similar warmth in cadets building friendships while learning to face danger. Its classrooms, rivalries, and first crushes make the adventure more intimate and hopeful than the Jedi crew’s journey.
The Ninth Jedi makes a ragtag crew’s fight against a growing threat feel rousing; Dragon Ball Super: Beerus brings that heroic battle rush to loud martial arts showdowns. Its goofy family and friend humor keeps things lighter between fights, while the danger expands to cosmic scale.
The Ninth Jedi’s unlikely allies and loyalty under fire lead naturally to My Hero Academia’s underdog heroics and lively class rivalries. Instead of a crew recruiting fighters across the galaxy, this anime centers on school training, tournaments, and villain attacks, with an earnest coming-of-age focus.
The Ninth Jedi’s daring escapes and growing danger suit a taste for Magical Girl Lyrical NANOHA EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance’s frontier survival and alien battles. The focus narrows from a recruiting crew to a hunter protecting her sister, in a battered world where danger reaches beyond their island.
