The Walking Dead: Dead City(2023)

The Walking Dead: Dead City turns ruined Manhattan into a cramped, hostile survival landscape. Crumbling skyscrapers, flooded subway tunnels, and walker-filled streets give the action a grim physical texture, with brutal close-quarters fights and ambush scares rather than much room to breathe. Rival factions control different neighborhoods, so the danger extends beyond the dead. The rescue unfolds as one continuing story, driven by urgency and hard moral choices.

Maggie needs help from Negan, the man who once wronged her, while searching for her kidnapped son. Their shared history makes cooperation bitter and trust uncertain: grief and grudges pull against the practical need to survive together. Dark humor occasionally cuts through that hostility, but their partnership remains uneasy, adding a personal source of friction to the city's bloodshed.
