What to Expect

PremiereLens read

Public humiliation and private mastery give this fantasy anime its wry humor: the prince can be dismissed at court, then reveal just how badly others have misjudged him. His concealed abilities turn underestimation into an advantage, with behind-the-scenes maneuvering alongside magic fights and quests. The comedy shares space with bloody violence, so a clever reversal can carry consequences far harsher than an embarrassed rival.

The gifted twin adds a more personal edge to the palace intrigue. The prince’s reputation is shaped by comparison with his sibling, while their bond brings drama beyond the rival claims to the throne. As the succession struggle intensifies, his secret work lets him influence events without publicly shedding the useless-prince image, keeping family relationships entangled with his hidden power.
