The Beauty(2026)

The Beauty builds its horror across two registers at once: a disease that visibly transforms the body while killing it, and a conspiracy that punishes anyone who looks too closely. Drew Foster and Kara Vaughn are investigators, but the procedural structure here is less about solving a mystery than surviving one, with corrupt officials and a hired pursuer tightening the perimeter as the partners get closer to what the government wants buried.

The biological horror is specific and unsettling: the Beauty is not invisible or abstract, it marks its hosts in ways that make concealment impossible and draw exactly the wrong kind of attention.
