Solsidan(2010)

Solsidan follows families in the affluent Stockholm suburb of Saltsjöbaden, finding its comedy in the small frictions and social posturing of comfortable domestic life. The humor is dry and observational, built from accumulating awkwardness rather than punchlines, with a tone that stays warm even when it is quietly poking at the absurdities of upscale neighborhood existence.

Nine seasons in, the ensemble has the lived-in quality of people who know each other too well, which is both the source of the comedy and its emotional texture.
