Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You(2026)

Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You builds its romantic comedy out of brief encounters and the awkwardness of two adults getting closer. Sasaki and Tayama’s shared moments carry more weight than big declarations or dramatic turns. The humor is situational and understated, with a gentle pace that leaves room for small shifts in their connection rather than pushing toward the next plot development.

The private corner behind the supermarket gives the romance an unglamorous, everyday setting. A quiet smoke becomes a recurring point of contact, and that repetition lets familiarity grow little by little. Tenderness stays restrained, making the relationship feel less like a sudden change in either person’s life than an unexpected connection taking shape within an ordinary routine.
