Rooster Fighter commits fully to its absurd premise: a rooster, small enough to perch on a fence post, goes toe-to-claw with demons the size of skyscrapers. The comedy is entirely a product of scale, and the show never blinks. Every confrontation is staged with the same sincerity you would expect from a serious action series, which is exactly what makes it funny.

Keiji's battle cry, Kokekokko, lands like a war declaration each time it arrives, and the show structures its fights around that kind of punchy, rapid escalation rather than slow dramatic buildup. There is no ironic distance between the show and its hero; his conviction is total, his heart apparently enormous, and the gap between those qualities and his literal size as a barnyard bird is where all the energy lives.
