What to Expect

PremiereLens read

Old Dog, New Tricks builds its comedy out of pet-shop bustle: animal care, quirky customers, and the small mishaps of keeping a business running. The humor stays light and friendly, with animals and their owners supplying everyday complications rather than big dramatic crises. It is a warm workplace comedy with room for both practical know-how and gentle silliness.

Uxía is Antón’s boss as well as his niece, giving their exchanges a family familiarity that a straightforward coworker pairing would not have. His countryside veterinary experience meets her role running the shop, and the younger boss, older relative dynamic supplies plenty of banter. Their working relationship gives the daily business a personal edge without disturbing the easygoing tone.
