Beef(2023)

A parking-lot argument that neither person walks away from, Beef builds its whole engine out of one petty collision and then watches two people burn their lives down refusing to let it go. Each retaliatory move costs something real, a relationship, a job, a family's stability, and the show keeps raising that cost without ever letting either character off the hook.

Dark humor runs right alongside the damage, so a scene can be genuinely funny and genuinely painful in the same breath. Neither protagonist is a villain exactly; both are people whose wounded pride has curdled into something they can no longer control. That combination of absurdity and real emotional consequence is what keeps the spiral from feeling cartoonish, even as the choices get more reckless and the fallout spreads further than either of them intended.
