A Couple of Lies(2026)

A Couple of Lies builds its suspense through accumulation rather than incident: small behavioral tells, half-answered questions, and the particular discomfort of strangers living inside each other's homes. The two couples are wealthy enough to believe they can manage any situation, which makes their growing loss of control feel genuinely unsettling.

Sicily's island geography does real work here. There is no casual exit, no slipping away unnoticed, and that physical confinement tightens as each side discovers the other is hiding something costly. The cross-cutting between Stockholm and Sicily keeps the deception symmetrical for a while, but the show is patient about letting that symmetry crack, and the moment it does, the consequences for both marriages become concrete and hard to walk back.
