This Is Not a Murder Mystery(2025)

A serial killer moving through a sealed 1930s mansion, picking off guests one by one, is the engine here. The setting is lavish and deliberately heightened, closer to a fever dream of the period than a sober recreation, and the show commits to that flamboyance in both look and tone. Each episode advances toward a specific revelation rather than resetting, so the mystery accumulates pressure across the season instead of spinning in place.

The trapped-suspect premise puts every character under immediate suspicion, and the confined location keeps that suspicion from dissipating. With the killer still inside the mansion, no one can simply leave the frame, which means every conversation carries the possibility of deception or danger. That closed-circle logic gives the procedural structure its particular grip.
