The Westies(2026)

The Westies puts a small Irish gang in Hell's Kitchen up against the full weight of the Italian mafia, and the arithmetic never gets comfortable. The Westies have fewer men, fewer resources, and fewer allies, so they trade in brutality instead, using violence as a negotiating tool to carve out a piece of the Javitz Center construction money. That imbalance drives the whole series, and the FBI closing in from the outside only tightens the pressure on a crew that cannot afford a single miscalculation.

Generational friction inside the gang runs alongside the external threat. Older members built their reputation on a particular kind of ruthlessness, and younger ones are either inheriting that logic or buckling under it. The 1980s Hell's Kitchen setting keeps everything grimy and close, a neighborhood in transition that the gang is trying to exploit before it slips away from them entirely. Loyalty carries a price here, and so does disloyalty.
