Flukten fra Bolivia

TV 2 Play • Dec 25 • 2025
Drama

In "Flukten fra Bolivia" we are drawn into a fight for survival. Ida, her sister-in-law Michelle and Ida's lover Cecilie are brutally arrested at the airport in Bolivia, accused of smuggling cocaine. The three girls are sentenced to life behind bars in one of the country's poorest women's prisons. Ida quickly realizes that she is surrounded by lies and betrayal, and that no one – not even those closest to her – can be trusted. She is hoping for help from the Norwegian authorities, but instead, help appears from an unexpected source that gives her a chance. A newly established men's magazine has a bold plan to help her escape. Under the protection of a mercenary and with her newborn child in her arms, Ida makes the ultimate choice. She puts her life on the line and embarks on a dangerous escape through the jungles of South America.

Why This Pick

Flukten fra Bolivia delivers wrongful imprisonment dread that turns into a desperate escape, with trust collapsing around the central character under constant physical threat. The Manipulated’s grievance-driven pursuit feels familiar in the way betrayal by close people fuels every choice, but the escape becomes jungle survival and larger-scale chaos.

Matlock

CBS • Feb 26 • 2024
DramaCrime

Follows Madeline Matlock as she rejoins the work force at a prestigious law firm, where she uses her wily tactics to win cases and expose wrongdoing.

Why This Pick

Matlock scratches the same itch for courtroom maneuvering where a sharp outsider outplays a polished system through strategy and nerve. The Manipulated’s legal confrontations and methodical targeting show up as workplace intrigue and competence satisfaction, but Matlock stays more wit-forward and less prison-survival brutal.
