South Park(1997)

South Park runs on escalating chaos: a situation that starts absurd gets pushed further, then further still, until the premise has collapsed into something completely unhinged. The four grade-schoolers at the center move through it all without flinching, which is most of the joke. Crude, offensive, and deliberately unrepentant, the comedy treats nothing as too sensitive to lampoon and nobody as too sacred to humiliate.

Each episode is largely self-contained, so the story resets rather than accumulates weight. That structure lets the show swing wildly from one target to the next, with adult dysfunction consistently filtered through the matter-of-fact reactions of kids who probably shouldn't be witnessing any of it. The humor lands hardest when the gap between the innocence of the setting and the outrageousness of what unfolds is at its widest.
