Summer of 36(2026)

Set in Nice during the summer of 1936, the series uses a single murder at the Riviera Hotel to crack open the collision between elite vacationers and workers experiencing their first paid holidays. The confined hotel setting keeps the story dense and pressurized, with class friction doing the work that action sequences might do elsewhere.

Four women, each arriving at the hotel from a different social position, find themselves drawn into the same crime from different angles. Their entanglement unfolds across a tight episode count, which means the story moves with purpose: each revelation shifts the social geometry rather than simply adding plot. The 1930s French setting is not backdrop but pressure, shaping what each woman can say, suspect, and risk.
