What to Expect

PremiereLens read

Flukten fra Bolivia opens inside a Bolivian women's prison, and it stays there long enough for the institutional dread to settle properly. Ida, her sister-in-law Michelle, and her lover Cecilie are handed life sentences on cocaine smuggling charges, and the drama builds its early pressure from confinement: the noise, the hierarchy, the slow erosion of any sense that outside help is coming. Norwegian authorities offer little. Trust, inside and outside the walls, keeps proving to be the wrong bet.

Carrying a newborn through South American jungle while a mercenary runs point is not where the story begins, but it is where the accumulated betrayals land. The shift from psychological confinement to physical flight gives the season a genuine change of register, and the moral weight of Ida's choices sharpens once a child is part of the calculation. People she should have been able to rely on have already failed her; the escape depends on strangers with their own motives.

She is hoping for help from the Norwegian authorities, but instead, help appears from an unexpected source that gives her a chance. A newly established men's magazine has a bold plan to help her escape. Under the protection of a mercenary and with her newborn child in her arms, Ida makes the ultimate choice. She puts her life on the line and embarks on a dangerous escape through the jungles of South America.

I Will Find You

DramaMystery

A father imprisoned for his son's murder receives evidence suggesting his child may be alive, compelling him to escape and uncover the truth.

Why this pick

I Will Find You delivers the same desperate, time-tight pressure as Flukten fra Bolivia, with a central character pushed into danger by a buried truth. The father’s urgency drives each episode forward, and the tension stays personal and relentless, trading the prison bars and newborn stakes for a more solitary, chase-heavy fight for answers.

Mayor of Kingstown

Paramount+ • Oct 26, 2025
DramaCrime

The McLusky family are power brokers tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry.

Why this pick

Mayor of Kingstown shares Flukten fra Bolivia’s survival-by-bargaining tension, where trust breaks down and every choice costs something. Prison corruption and tense negotiations fill the screen with constant danger, but the pace is slower and heavier, trading the jungle escape’s kinetic flight for a larger, grimy citywide pressure cooker.
