Dynamite Kiss runs a hidden-identity premise through a boss-employee setup, which means every workplace interaction carries a second layer of risk. The comedy comes from situation and character: she has to maintain a false persona in front of someone who already knows her, and the closer they get professionally, the harder that becomes. Misunderstandings pile up naturally rather than feeling engineered, and the Jeju backstory gives the tension a specific romantic history to draw on.

The Seoul office setting does real work here, using recognizable workplace hierarchies to sharpen what is at stake in keeping a secret. Family and friends orbit the central pair without crowding them out, adding small complications and warmth at the edges. What keeps the story moving is the gap between two people who clearly have unfinished business and a situation that keeps forcing them to pretend otherwise.
