Detective Hole(2026)

Detective Hole follows a serial killer investigation through the perspective of Harry Hole, a detective whose brilliance is inseparable from his self-destructive tendencies. The case drives the plot forward, but the procedural mechanics are consistently complicated by ethical compromise; Harry is not a clean hero working a dirty world, and the show does not treat his personal damage as incidental color.

Tom Waaler, the corrupt adversary, works from inside the same institution Harry does, which keeps the danger close and the moral ground shifting throughout. The threat is never safely external. That proximity between hunter and corruptor, colleagues operating in the same professional space, gives the drama a sustained unease that the serial killer case alone could not generate.
